About

About Us

Barmouth Walking Festival has been running for over 20 years introducing people to the lesser known areas of Southern Snowdonia. Each year we run a range of walks from gentle strolls to challenging full day hikes. 2023 was a transition year and we have left the 2023 programme displayed to give an idea of the sort of walks we put on. We hope to offer an expanded programme in 2024 and are already working on that.

2023 Update

As some of you know, after many years of organising the Walking Festival, Lesley and Kirstie have had to step back due to personal reasons. So we are going ahead this year, but on a smaller scale. SInce the plans for 2023 were already largely in place, we (Stephen and Ian) have stepped and ran "Walking Festival Lite".

Words can not express how grateful we are to Lesley, Kirstie (not forgetting Bill & Will) for all the work they have put in over the years. It is a phenomenal commitment and generousity of time that few can appreciate. We wish them all the best and look forward to working with them in the future on Barmouth Walking Festival 2024 and beyond.
