Ascent 902 feet (275m)

This new circular walk offers lots of interest exploring in the slate mining history and beautiful scenery of the Dulas Valley as well as a remarkable glimpse of the treasures of Italy in miniature hidden off the beaten track. The undulating route begins at the Corris Craft Centre and also visits the atmospheric remains of the once thriving Abercorris Slate Quarry, delightful Corris village with its little narrow gauge railway which at its peak transported slate down the valley to Machynlleth, wooded trails and the banks of the Afon Dulas where the air is so pure that it is one of the few places in Wales where tree lungwort can still be found. The walking is largely on easy paths with some sections on quiet lanes. Starts at Corris Craft Centre car park LL36 9AJ
