Total ascent 562 feet (172m) A new undulating, circular walk through parts of delightful Plas Tan-y-Bwlch Estate woods and forestry which begins from parking by the Oakeley Arms Hotel near Maentwrog. There are views of Porthmadog, Penrhyndeudraeth to the south and the Moelwyns to the north. The famous Ffestiniog Railway runs through the woods and we will pass by three lakes. The walk has downhill and uphill sections to negotiate carefully and there are some exposed roots to look out for in the woods. Due to its length, it will be enjoyed by experienced walkers used to tricky terrain.
