Up Above The Barmouth Rock
£7.00
An opportunity to stretch yourself at a gentle pace in the terrain above Barmouth with panoramic views at every turn. Starting from the centre of town, we will ascend very slowly with stops to appreciate the town’s history - from 'Old Barmouth' and the utopian ideals of a community to promote the wellbeing and happiness of working men, up to Dinas Oleu, the first land gifted to establish what is now the National Trust. We will discover the Frenchman’s Grave and start to ascend slowly with views out to sea before we reaching the highest point of 1,125ft (342m) and a gradual descent looking down on the Mawddach Estuary. There will be spectacular views to end from the Panorama Walk viewpoint. There may be muddy patches. General fitness is required but the pace will be easy with plenty of stops.
