£6.00
///prefix.defeated.camcorder Grid Reference SH87977 29767 Total ascent 3,943 feet (1,202m) The craggy summits of both Aran Fawddwy, which stands at a lofty 2,970 feet (905m), and its slightly smaller sister peak on the impressive ridge, Aran Benllyn will be reached in this spectacular linear out and back walk from Llanuwchllyn. There will be around 1,202 metres (3,943 feet) of ascent, a short steep loose scree section, and the route to the summit of Aran Fawddwy has a scramble-clamber over some rocks. There may be the need to walk through a short section where there may be cows and a bull but they are used to walkers). Dog must be kept on a lead because of sheep. The Arans can be boggy so waterproof boots and gaiters would be a good idea. This will be a full day in the mountains so walkers must ensure they have enough food and drink. The start point is the free car park (postcode LL23 7TL) in the centre of the village which also has free public toilets.
