Llandecwyn Loop

This popular circular walk from Llandecwyn Station includes a mix of forestry tracks, a strenuous ascent through enchanting natural woodlands above the Afon Prysor to Llyn Trawsfynydd Dam, and then follows Nant Ddu over boggy ground grasslands which, on a good day, offers exceptional views of Eryri (Snowdonia), the Moelwyns and Moel Hebog. We then loop back up to Llyn Tecwyn-Uchaf and Eglwys Saint Tecwyn before heading down over fields to the start. This walk suits fit walkers who are used to stretches over slippery, wet and rocky terrain. Public Transport - 8.33am train from Barmouth Station arriving at Llandecwyn Station at 9.15am. Return from Llandecwyn to Barmouth at 4.47pm
