A linear flat, leisurely walk from Barmouth to Dolgellau along the unrivalled Mawddach Trail is offered here. The trail is a footpath and cycle route winding along a disused railway track on the southern edge of the beautiful estuary. We will walk directly from the Carousal Cafe registration stopping at various points to look for evidence of the historic railway line and read some old and new poetry based on the line and its locality for which the area is famous. Feel free to bring any poems you know or have written about the Barmouth or Dolgellau area. We hope to have time for afternoon tea and cake in Dolgellau and will return by bus. Public Transport; Return bus from Eldon Square, Dolgellau provisionally at 4.03pm or 5.03pm.
