NEW Foraging Walk, Antonella Stacchiotti
£6.00
Grid Reference SH612159
For the first time the festival is delighted to offer a foraging walk which is courtesy of expert forager and fermenter Antonella Stacchotti. The aim is to provide a different angle on the ecosystem around Barmouth, exploring the varieties of edible plants and hopefully mushrooms that we have around us. Two different woodlands will be explored and an expert from the National Trust will also explain about conservation around the Mawddach Estuary. The walk will start from registration at the Carousal Cafe in Barmouth and finish at the George III Hotel at Penmaenpool where people can choose if they want to walk back to Barmouth or take the bus back on the other side of the toll bridge. Please note that walkers will not be able to collect any wild plants or mushrooms but Antonella will offer snacks from her foraging.
