A short, slower paced walk with frequent stops taking in some of Barmouth’s historical highlights with a chance to explore the Old Town and up to Dinas Oleu, the first piece of land gifted to the National Trust. First stop is at the imposing St John’s Church before visiting the Frenchman’s Grave, and some stunning views of the Mawddach Estuary and Cardigan Bay, before descending through the cottages of the old town. On the way we will hear tales of religious and spiritual beliefs, the first pubs and measures to keep people out of them! To finish after a lunch stop we will enjoy a talk by our friends from the RNLI and visit the Lifeboat Station. The start is at the festival registration point at the Carousal Cafe.
