Benar Beach - Shell Island - Llanbedr Circular (JS & PS)

SKU Walk28
Price

£5.00

Ascent (Feet): 456 (only on last part of the walk from Llandbedr back to Dyffryn - the rest is fairly flat)

Following registration at 10.00, take the G23 bus from Jubilee Road at 10.33 to Dyffryn, getting off at the Caffi Hen Crydd (opposite Fox’s One Stop shop) which is where you will be met for the start of the walk. (for those driving, you can meet outside the cafe at 10.50 - there are a couple of car parks nearby with free parking on station road).

This is a lovely 10-mile circular walk from the car park at Benar Beach along the beach and sand dunes to Shell Island and then to Llandbedr with a pub lunch stop at the Victoria Inn. Then, it’s a short, but reasonably steep to begin with, walk back to Dyffryn via the hills.

A rough estimate of our arrival at The Victoria Inn is 1.15pm. We will then depart the Victoria about 2.15pm, back to the car park by 3.30pm/3.40pm.

For those that don’t want to do the whole 10 miles, you can just do the first part of the walk to Llandbedr and then catch the bus back to Dyffryn. For those continuing the walk back to Dyffryn, there is a long ascent on road which we will take slowly. After that the walk is on the flat and slightly downhill. No stiles. Suitable for dogs.
