NEW Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Circular
£7.00
For the first time for many years the festival is offering an opportunity to reach the summit of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), the highest mountain in Wales at 3,560 feet. The walk, which is following a new route for the festival, embarks on the Rhyd Ddu Path which is one of the most rewarding and less crowded approaches to the peak. Starting near the village of Rhyd Ddu, this is the quieter western side of the mountain where there will be far fewer walkers allowing everyone to really take in the dramatic surroundings. The path offers sweeping views across Cardigan Bay, as well as the rugged ridge lines and lakes of Eryri (Snowdonia). This is considered a moderately challenging route. The ascent is steady at first but becomes steeper and more exposed approaching the ridge section near the top. The start is at the Rangers Car Park (£6 a day cash or contactless). There are toilets at the car park.
